My iPhone synced with iPad photos. what I had on iPad went to iPhone and the rest of the photos and recordings disappeared and I had a lot of them. I called Apple support twice and they couldn't help much and they thought it was because of iOS beta that I had then but when I updated to the official version nothing came back. I really don't know what to do anymore.

If you also synced your content to iCloud, did you check the Recently Deleted folders in iCloud?

Sorry, but this looks like your data is lost.
Any chance you have transferred any iCloud data in the past to your computer?

On the other hand, this can sometimes happen when you have pictures that were originally transferred from a computer rather than through iCloud.
If that's your case, and if you have Settings>Apple ID>iCloud Backup turned on, then you may be able to recover pictures that weren't in iCloud from your backup at iCloud.com. You should look here:

Things in iCloud Photos aren't in this backup, because that would be double. But the other pictures might be. Restoring from iCloud Backup requires you to erase everything currently on your phone and replace it with the backup. This could be a hard decision…
