M4 Mac mini plugged into an Atmos receiver. No audio for my movies with Atmos track.

I have movies on my NAS server that is 4k with HDR and Atmos. The movies themselves play fine, but there's no audio. There are sound for the movies with no Atmos audio.

QuickTime Player and Apple TV with the files imported has the same no sound issue. The Plex app actually has audio, but does not play it in Atmos. VLC also had no audio, and gave a "MLPA is not supported" error.

I'm using the M4 Mac mini. HDMI passthrough enabled. Also switched to 8 ch on audio MIDI setup, and sat it to 5.1.2. That itself actually has a weird issue in configure speakers where the height speakers is coming from the rear ones instead. Don't know what to do about that.

I did not have Atmos issues on Windows, and actually switched from Windows to Mac for numerous reasons. I started to really dislike Windows since 8, but what made me decide to switch is that multiple hackers keeps trying to access my Microsoft account, which appears to be a common issue, and Microsoft refuses to do anything about it.
