printer defaults to concept print quality (grey)

Which is not what I prefer, of course.

When I print something [archive/print] and just hit "print" the printer spits out a greyish, vague print.

When selecting "print through system dialogue" and changing nothing, it prints a perfectly black lettered page.

I think that probably the default setting for printing quality is "concept" instead of "normal".

How do I set it to "normal"?

Printer is an Epson ET-5800, MacOS is 14.6.1.

Front page is normal, second page is preinted through system dialogue.
