Does Precision Finding Activate After Leaving Unsupported/Restricted Region -- Ultra Wide Band (UWB); U1 chip

As per Apple 'Ultra Wideband isn't available in all countries or regions and is subject to international regulatory requirements that require it to be turned off in certain locations.'

For items purchased in those countries, is UWB functionality restored once back in a country where UWB is supported?

For example, for an AirTag purchased in Nepal, once I return to my home country of France, will Precision Finding via UWB (U1 chip) work?
