Music App broke after Sonoma 14.7.1 - on a MacBook Air 2018 Intel - virtual memory code problem?

Had problems getting Sonoma 14.7.1 release to run on my MacBook Air - finally got it down via the App Store.

Several days later, the Music app hung as I was preparing a playlist, needed a ‘Force Quit’ and I have never been able to open it since. When I launch, it opens for a few seconds then shuts down completely. Have tried the many different suggestions in various threads on this forum, including:

• in Privacy & Security Settings - moving the Music app into the ‘Media and Apple Music’ icon, as well as giving Music Full Disk Access

• re-starting the Mac in Safe Mode and re-starting again

• re-starting the Music App in Safe Mode and re-starting again

• re-loading Sonoma 14.7.1 - & ensuring sufficient space - and re-started

• reviewed and disabled login items (there was a greyed out version of the Music app at this point?) - and re-started

• tried accessing Music via various back doors - including launching an individual song file in the music library, and through Shazam - all with the same result - opens for a few seconds and closes.

• various other things to try seemed to involve being able to open the Music app in the first place (e.g. try signing out), but can’t get in there to try any of those either :).

Someone in our house with more coding experience than mine (which is nil!) had a look at the crash report - apparently the following line points to a coding error for the virtual memory, which has to go back to the Apple coders??? And yes, I’ve sent the diagnostic reports in a few times now after repeated crashes.

Kernel Triage:

VM - (arg = 0x3) mach_vm_allocate_kernel failed within call to vm_map_enter

Which means apparently there’s nothing else I can do, so looks to be a waiting game for an OS update at some point to fix the code????

Or any other suggestions on anything that may be working for others - seems to be a lingering problem esp with Sonoma with diff things working sometimes for diff folks?
