My Apple Pay works great at cash registers but when I try to use it online for a purchase or to pay for parking on my phone app, it takes me to credit card info update and won’t allow me to complete the purchase?

It won’t let me get that far. It takes me to a screen to update my cards. They are updated. It works fine when I’m in person tapping for a purchase. It’s only remotely that it won’t work. Like online purchases.
How are you attempting to complete the transaction? Are you double clicking the side button to activate Face ID and activate Apple Pay?
Do you have a screenshot of what you’re seeing? What model iPhone and what iOS version are you using?
