Unable to request refund for an accidental purchase

My 6-yr old daughter said Daddy look at this, and held my phone up to my face --- which triggered a purchase of Roblox for $200. I immediately (literally seconds later) went to request a refund for an accidental purchase. I was denied.

If a 6-yr old buying a $200 item is not refundable, WHAT IS!?

If a 6 year old is using your phone, which is likely the case since you also have the Roblox app, then you must use parental controls. If the child also knows your Passcode, they would not even need your Face to make the purchase. Parental Controls are very easy to use with a wide variety of options:

  • Require Password for any purchase as recommended by Katana-San
  • Prevent in-app purchase
  • Prevent installing apps

Sorry I could not be more helpful with your current situation, but prevention is the key so it does not happen again.
