Unable to download complete emails on iPhone

This message has not yet been downloaded from the server. I receive this message from many of my emails and have yet to discover a solution. What can I do if none of the fixes have worked? I contacted Apple iOS and Yahoo customer services but I’m not sure who else I should be looking for a resolution with. This occurs on my iPhone. I got generic, not specific, non helpful information from If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support:

Set up or remove a Yahoo Mail account in the iOS Mail app





Add a Yahoo Mail account using the iOS automated setup



Open the iOS Settings app.

  1. Tap Mail.
  2. Tap Accounts.
  3. Tap Add Accounts.
  4. Tap Yahoo.
  5. Follow the prompts to sign in.


Update fetch settings to get timely notifications

The iOS environment supports 2 kinds of email notifications - Push and Fetch. Yahoo Mail is designed to work with Fetch, which will check for new emails at regular time intervals. You can decide how frequently the app checks.


  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Tap Mail.
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap Fetch New Data.
  5. Tap a time interval at the bottom.
  6. Tap your Yahoo Mail account.
  7. Make sure that "Fetch" is selected.


Remove a Yahoo Mail account
