step editor not present in default editor menu - cannot see Step Editor and midi notes together!!!?? UGH

In the past the STEP EDITOR was embedded within the default editor view.

now it pulls up SMART TEMPO instead STEP editor.

It's SUPER annoying to not have the step editor under the midi notes to correlate automation to the midi tracks.

Now you get a separate step editor window WITHOUT seeing midi notes.

Has anyone found a work around?
