Keyboard Language invisible

I currently switch Between four keyboard Languages. Whereas before the selected language was clearly visible on the space bar, it now has disappeared and shows barely visible very light grey letters at the bottom right. I simply never know what language my keyboard is adjusted on. Com we on Apple don't go the Microsoft way, we like you because information is CLEAR (or used to be?) The dictation often performs poorly and even when it works it puts commas everywhere like parasites.

Does anyone at Apple try these "updates" before imposing them on us??
