I just started up my MacBook Pro and a message popped up "DEVICE ADDED TO YOUR ACCOUNT". I went to settings and strangely this device was added again followed by (2). Why would this happen and should I remove one?

I get this if I turn my iPhone off for a day. I mean totally turned off. The iPhone sends out a signal to Apple servers and if it has done it it in 24 hours when I turn it back on I get a notice that a device has been added to my account even though the device is already there.
