iOS18 iPhone use with Apple TV

I have been using iOS 18 since the beta came out and one big issue that I’d hoped would be fixed when it actually released but hasn’t is when using the Apple Remote on my 12 Pro Max with my Apple TV.

When I turn off my Apple TV it turns off the TV like it should but it will then randomly turn the tv back on?

it’s completely random in that sometimes it turns on within 10 minutes and others it might be 1-3 hours later. I haven’t tried beyond this time frame because it gets very annoying being woken up with the tv turning back on.

If I turn it off with my iPad, my wife’s 14 pro max, or the Apple Remote I have no issues with the tv turning back on.
