Here's some things that you can try:

  • The microphone on Powerbeats3 is embedded in the cable, so check to ensure it isn’t obstructed or dirty.
  • Try reconnecting them to your iPhone. Go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone, find your Beats in the list, and tap Forget This Device. Then, reconnect by holding the power button on your Beats until the LED indicator flashes, indicating pairing mode, and select them on your phone's Bluetooth list to pair again.
  • On your phone, ensure that microphone permissions are granted for any apps you use to make calls. Go to Settings > Privacy > Microphone and confirm that the necessary apps are allowed to access the microphone.
  • Try resetting your Beats. Press and hold both the Power and Volume Down buttons for about 10 seconds until the LED light flashes. Then reconnect your Powerbeats3 to your device.
  • If you have another phone handy, try using these Beats with them.
  • Finally, ensure that your phone is running the latest version of iOS. With the iPhone, check in Settings > General > Software Update.
