Post iOS 18.1 update, long standing Messages group turned my messages into MMS messages

I am a member of a Messages group that was created a couple of years ago. Everyone in the group is on an iPhone. Since the 18.1 update, my messages are sent as MMS/SMS and the recipients get them in a different thread than the original group thread.


Anyone know how to correct this?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 18
