Hi, I recently updated to macOS 15.1, and since then, my Touch ID has stopped working when my Mac is in sleep mode. If the display is off for about 20 minutes with the lid open, Touch ID no longer responds. Before the update, it worked fine in sleep mode, but now I'm experiencing this issue. My laptop model is the 13-inch M3.

Other than what I already stated, and what is in the link I posted, I have no other information. Just to repeat, Touch ID wakes my M3 iMac and M1 MacBook Air as long as I press the key.
The Touch ID Sensor is the same button as the Power Button
Are you saying the Touch ID / Power Button will not wake the computer from Sleep Mode ?
Or are you saying, the Touch ID / Power Button will wake the computer from Sleep Mode ?
Depending on how the Power Setting have been configured
You maybe required to manually type in the computer password to Active the usage of the Touch ID
Define what you mean by " not working "
Having used a M2 MBA and Now using a M3 MBA
Only lightly resting a finger on the Touch ID / Power Button will do nothing to wake the computer.
Not unless I do a Fast Depressing of the Power / Touch ID button.
I am saying touchId will not wake the computer from sleep mode, But it's waking the computer when the adapter is plugged in.
The Touch ID is also the Power Button
If the computer is in sleep mode, depressing any key on the Builtin Keyboard should awaken the computer
Ha, I know that, however I am saying touchId is not working.
FWIW, on my M3 iMac I have to actually press the Touch ID/Power Button to wake it from Sleep.
Just to add, the same is true for my M1 MacBook Air. Merely touching the key does not work.
