Preview will no longer open

Hi there. I am trying to open basic pdf files. Since the latest update pdfs are now opening with acrobat reader instead of my normal preview. I click on the file and say always open with preview, however I get this error message. Under settings, security I say open anyway, but I have to do that every single time I want to open a pdf in preview. How do I fix this?
