will apple music for windows ever have the same functionality as itunes?

I am hearing that itunes has been replaced by three apps for windows. These are apple music, apple tv and apple devices.

Before I venture down the road of getting rid of itunes, i'm aslo hearing that apple music for windows doesn't allow to do the same importing of files and ripping of CDs that itunes for windows did. Are both if these true?

What other differences are there and/or where would i find these limitations?
