Letter symbol next to file name when saving attachment. How can I turn this OFF?

After updating to Sequoia, I've started seeing a letter symbol after the file name. I understand that this is in order to show that it has been saved from an email and that it is a reference back to the email it was saved from.

How can I turn this completely unwanted "feature" OFF for all attachments, so I never have to see it again? The only way I've found so far is to "Get Info" for each file, then right click on the reference, and select "Remove". Fine, implement features, but for heavens sake! Let people turn all these unnecessary and unwanted "features" off in a simple, intuitive fashion!

I'm not at my Sequoia machine now, or else I could post a screenshot. But it's right there. Pretty obvious. And it works as the OP describes. You can click on it to open the original message that it came from.

Just drag an attachment to the Finder. You should see the icon. It's where an iCloud icon would normally go.
