Bluetooth & CarPlay shutting on/off radio every 5 seconds

I have a Cochlear Osia hearing aid. The iPhone Bluetooth / Mifi to the device is buggy. It will randomly switch “modes” in the accessibility screen anytime the phone is connect to more than one device like my car. This also happens seemingly randomly.

this also means I cannot use CarPlay and listen to the radio because it pauses the music every 5 seconds.

I’ve tried deleting and re-pairing everything and in different order. I’ve reset both my iPhone and my car system to get it to connect right.

I think this is a bug in the apple accessibility features. It keeps trying to change the mode of the hearing aid and this shuts it off in my ear and in the car every 5 seconds.

help?

Hello - still trying to get help on this. The sound mode will flip on/off still randomly in my car. I’ve tried replacing the battery and the shutting on and off is very regular and consistent and not like a bad signal would be behaving. It’s doing the same brief shut off when I change sound modes on my device. But this shut off happens again and again.

i think iPhone is trying to force the cochlear implant into a sound mode and the cochlear implant isnt either accepting it or it’s not working or it’s not a supported sound profile or something.

The cochlear implant was advertised to me as Made For IPhone and was the reason I had to switch to an Apple product.

if there are proprietary protocols that make other phones Bluetooth unusable then I have an expectation that the iPhone connect work.

so please assistance is needed and I would appreciate someone’s time
