Apple AI doesn't know how to check for software update

On my Macbook Pro running OS 15.1 (with Apple AI enabled) I asked Siri to check to see if there was a System Software Update available, and the response I got was "Sorry, I don't understand". I tried asking the question several different ways but always got the same response.

This seemed like a simple question. Can anyone explain why this might be stumping Siri?

I just asked Siri if there was a software update for my MacBook Pro M1, using Apple Intelligence, and Siri offered where to check for updates. I also asked the same question on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, with Apple Intelligence and I got the same response. Note: I didn't ask for a System Software Update. I asked if there was a Software Update for either device.
