iOS18 ruined camera roll slideshow (can’t turn off music or play full videos)

I used to open the “videos” folder in the camera roll, pick a video, and then select the “slideshow” option. The video would play in its entirety, with the original sound, and then automatically start the next video in the camera roll.

This was great for my toddler who wants to watch videos of his grandma and cousins, and I don’t have to swipe to the next video when each one is finished.

I really wish I hadn’t updated to iOS18 because now I cannot turn off the music in the slideshow (can only mute) and it only plays a tiny snippet from each video.

I don’t actually want a slideshow. I just used the slideshow feature to play my camera roll videos one after the other automatically. THAT is the feature that I am now sorely missing.

The easiest fix may be to give me the options “turn off auto-loop” on videos and also “play next video automatically.”
