Excel Docs NOt moivng in iCloud

I recently bought a new iMac and have iCloud with it and the older iMac. All the Word docs update on the old computer once I have updated them on the new iMac. I have two excel docs sitting on my desktop that are NOT showing up on the old computer. I have checked the iCloud account and both have my same info.

I also have a zero kb doc on the old iMac that will not allow me to move it to trash due to error -43, whatever that is. Even emptytrash icon says there is nothing in trash.
