Hi, I am running iOS 18.1 and iCal I’m looking to have an event that repeats weekly but also numbers the recurring weeks. For example, I have a custom event for every Sunday but I want to essentially countdown (or up) to a specific date. I can’t seem to find anyway how to do
this, please help!! 🙏🏻

I think you're correct Amy; there does not seem to be a way to show a progressive number in recurring events. The closest you can get to this is to have Calendar number the weeks of the year. For this see Settings > Apps > Calendar > Week Numbers.
You'd also want to add a note that the recurring event started at week number x and ends at week y for your reference.
