Getting a Different User's Phone Calls on My Macbook

My wife just got a phone call and it started ringing on my MacBook, even though there wasn't an option to answer it. As soon as she answered on her iPhone, the ringing on my Mac stopped. Tested this again by calling her from my phone, and it happened again.

I'm logged in to my computer as myself, and use my iCloud. She has her own user profile on the Mac, and she has her own iCloud account.

Why is this happening and how do I stop it?

What you're doing sounds completely correct and reasonable. Did you check your respective Mac's FaceTime settings for "You can be reached for FaceTime at..."?

Review all those options including Calls from iPhone. Perhaps try signing out of FaceTime, and signing in again.

That's all I can think of for now. If all else fails you might need to contact Apple: Official Apple Support because it's likely there is some other setting or preference I'm missing.
