Hearing test keeps stopping stating it is unable to classify due to background noise. The only noise is me breathing! I've tried four times now and can't get through one ear without the test stopping at 75% finished.

Same....I've taken it maybe 6 times now and keep getting unable to classify. Giving up as there must be a bug or something.
I had the same issue as all of you with my iPhone but it worked the first time also with my iPad mini!
Mine never would complete with my iPhone either but tried with my iPad mini and the test completed first time.. a couple other posters reported the same thing, success with iPad
Just turn your phone upside down. I am sure the microphone on the phone is picking up your breathing. Or cover the microphone with something to help cut out the sounds it hears.
Brand new AirPods Pro 2 just out of the box. Same issue. Tried 4 times in an absolutely quiet environment (closed closet inside a closed room with nothing running).
