Handwritten notes not syncing the entire note from iPad to MacBook

I've seen a few posts on the same subject from months ago, but it still seems to be an issue. I just recently got an Apple Pencil, so have only recently started to take handwritten notes in the native Apple app, and I'm admittedly late to the party. Suprised/not surprised to see it's still an issue (come on Apple!).

One solution that was posted was to make a change to the note on the iPad to force it to resync to iCloud after which the full handwritten note appears (after a minute or so) on the MacBook. This worked for me, but not very practical on an ongoing basis. Anyone hear of a more permanent fix, so that I don't have to do this manually?

I haven't updated the MacBook to Sequoia yet, as I want to make sure some of my legacy apps are compatible before I bite the bullet. Can anyone comment on whether the issue is fixed in Sequoia? If yes, that might be bite the bullet sooner....
