Final Cut XML import issue in Logic Pro without original hard drives

Hello everyone,

I'm importing a finalcut xml to logic pro and the issue is that when i don't have the original hard drives logic can't find the files, so either I do select file by file or I have to ask the director to come over with the external hard drives which is not always practical when you work in different countries. Is there anyway around this issue ?

I've never worked with Final Cut XML files. But I remember opening OMF files in the past, and it was helpful to place the OMF file in the same folder as the audio files. Maybe this trick works also with Final Cut XML files.

Hello! Thanks! I tried it and it also does not work.

I also tried to trick "logic" by naming all the folders the same way - so it "finds" the path" and it also does not work...

That round trip between FCP and LP is buggy at best. I try to avoid it at all cost. So you need the FCP Library, so Logic can find the media. Do you have a copy of the Library?
