I'm finding that my Apple Calendar on my MacBook Pro frequently crashes when I've navigated to a future date and then click on the "Today" button. I've shared crash details several times, but I've never heard anything back.
The Calendars on my iPad and iPhone seem to be running fine.
I haven't added any new software that could cause issues. I'm running Sequoia 15.0.1

Perhaps try the old technique of holding down the shift key when you next start Calendar. It can resolve problems such as yours of applications not behaving themselves.
I couldn't explain it myself, but I did find this conversation which does a much better job of it than I could.
