Sources to purchase a refurbished MacBook

Getting a Refurbished Mac:

Go through an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider):

For reliability and avoidance of scams, I recommend you get one from an AASP. Getting a computer off of ebay or craigslist can result in scams of sorts.

1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
2. Click: Service & Support
3. Enter: your location information
4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the services that they offer to sell refurbished Macs.

There is only one source for Certified Refurbished Macs. Any other vendor alleging the Mac is "refurbished" is dubious at best.
