Last attempt to understand what is being said in above
The Installation process of the Upgrade REQUIRES an Active and Working Internet Connection
The Internet Connection will allow the Installer to pull down additional Software and possibly a Firmware Update Required for this computer
Without this Internet Connection, it will stall and remain in this state of 28 Minutes Remaining
If this is not the case and an Internet Connection is active
Have the computer evaluated by the Professionals who have the Special Hardware Software and Expertise to diagnose the issue and offer possible solutions
Make an Appointment at the Apple Genius Bar or call 1 800 MyApple and have them evaluate the computer
Other location Call Centres
Power Down the computer by any means including holding the Power Button until it switches OFF
Restart in Safe Mode. and hope the Installation may or may not complete successfully
Be sure to have the Laptop Plugged into the charger at all times.
This should guard against the Battery from running out of Battery Power
Exactly, what did happen when the computer was booted into Safe Mode ?
Was there are Error Message ?
If so, exactly what did the error message say ?
FYI - one the Installation Process has begun, there is no way to Stop it
