Desktop music not syncing with other devices

I was trying to sync my music library on my iMac and I keep getting a pop up telling my to turn on sync libraries. I've now turned it on several times and it is it keeps sending me that pop up and automatically turning sync library off. Is there anything else I can do to make it sync?
