FaceTime Number has Expired

Anyone familiar with what this

message means?

“iMessage and FaceTime number has expired . Remove and reinsert the sim to keep using number ..... for iMessage and FaceTime.”

Removing and reinserting SIM card doesn’t work and my FaceTime does not work.

iPhone XS Max, iOS 17
