List View in Apple Music on Mac OS

I see that with Sequoia, the List view in Apple Music has been further limited, from what was already a poor experience. Apple seems to want to make this as bad as possible.

The issue now is that the only way I seem to be able to get to the song that is playing, using List View is:

  1. click the three dots next to the song playing and select 'Go To Current Song', this will take you to the song but in Album view.
  2. Under Library in the left-most column select 'songs' view. (Before Sequioa, this would take me to the song that was playing using list view. Now it just shows you your list of songs from the top.)
  3. In order to get to the song that is playing, I now have to toggle to the next or previous song from the one playing, which will then take me to the song that is playing while in List view.

Apple has had it in for List view ever since they deprecated iTunes. Hey Apple, would you please reinstate List view functionality that existed in Itunes? Please?

If anyone knows a better way, I'd love to hear it.

Hi,

I am seeing different results from you!

In song view, when I play a song and the select ... and go to current song that takes me to album view. (Using command + L gives me the same result.) Next selecting "Song" shows song in List view. By the way, I believe that this is how it has worked in the past.
