How do I sync my iCloud music to my MacBook Air?

My music is in the iCloud, checked. It is also on my iPhone updated to latest version 18.

But stuff is missing on my MacBook Air.

Same id, Sync is turned on. I attached phone via cable. Nada. How do I get my MacBook Air to reflect what is in iCloud.

Thanks

Try holding down option as you launch Music, click Choose Library and explicitly reselect the library that you think it should be using. Occasionally it seems as if Music may be connected to a cached version of the library that doesn't update correctly.

Try holding down option+cmd as you launch Music to open it in its safe mode. This can potentially perform some repairs on the library.

Try holding down option as you launch Music and creating a new blank library that you then enable Sync Library in to see if that works.

That suggests an incomplete sync up to the cloud. Do these tracks physically exist on the desktop computer? On a computer File > Library > Update Cloud Library should resume the process of matching/uploading tracks that currently show as Waiting. You may also be able to select the tracks, right-click, and use Add to Cloud Library to jog things along.

Starting to think this is a defect in version 15.0.1. Music is totally screwed up. Started to get multiple copies of many of my songs up to 4.

Created a new lib, sat there for a day and did nothing.

Did it again, now most updated ok, but still have many missing and in wait status.

The desktop is perfect, but is an older computer and has an older OS
