Mac book pro restore problems

I erased my SSD on my Mac book pro after a few attempts it managed to get to the end of the internet recovery process. I then had to activate the MAC and select the SSD to install Sonoma. All ok so far , it then installed the os but it stopped like 1 hour later with error message unable to complete. I had a bootable USB with an older OS but somehow it is not recognized by the boot manager . I recreated USB key on another Mac just to make sure but to no avail..any bright ideas..? I

Did you use Wi-Fi to do the download? If so, the file has likely gotten corrupted and therefore can't load. Wi-Fi is too slow for these very large files, which causes the corruption to occur. Retry using a wired Ethernet connection and all should go well. If that is not available, you may have to do multiple downloads to get one that will work.

What is the exact model of this Mac? You can get this information by entering the system serial number on the check coverage page here (please don't post the serial number on the forum since it is considered personal information):

Also, what version of macOS is that USB installer and how did you create it exactly?
