Music app (EQ) not working in Sequoia, still or again!

I cut and pasted most of this description from another post because it sounds like the same problem carried forward to Sequoia. I will add comments.

"I have a custom equalizer preset created in Apple Music on macOS 14.4.1. (edit - Mac OS 15.0.1) I noticed today that if I am playing a song and then skip to another song (sometimes it takes a few skips), it will sound as though my equalizer is turned off -- everything begins to sound very flat.

If I go to Equalizer, it shows that it is checked (on) and that my custom EQ preset is selected. If I try switching to a different EQ preset, or change anything, it does absolutely nothing to the sound. If I turn it off, no change. If I exit Apple Music and open it again, it starts working as expected.

I believe this is a bug in Apple Music. "

Most of the above description is precisely what I am experiencing. I first noticed this because the vocals sounded muffled. That's when I started adjusting EQ settings. Sometimes they changed the sound and other times nothing changed.

I have good speakers connected to my computer because I listen to music a lot; no, it's not the speakers. Everything was working fine until I upgraded to Sequoia. I might add, this is not the first issue I have had since the upgrade and as usual, Apple doesn't allow us to go backwards.
