Syncing ringtones with iTunes

I sync a few ringtones to my phone with iTunes. They all work just fine, but I'm wondering why they appear differently in iTunes. Only one is in normal text, the rest are all grayed out and have a dotted circle on the left. Why are they different? They are all m4r files and they all play just fine.
