CarPlay on my Kia Seltos 2024 plays music from my iPhone speaker

The Apple Carplay is wired in my 2024 KIA Seltos. Once the phone is connected the infotainment displays the Carplay screen but when I press play to play the music (Apple music or sound cloud) the music plays via the iPhone speakers and not the car’s. One weird thing happened, I was at a gas station while connected by the cable/wire to the car, I picked my phone to pay for the gas and the CarPlay disconnected after which I unplugged the cable/wire from the car and the phone and reconnected. Since this moment the music is playing only via my phone when the Carplay is active. But when I disconnect the cable/wire from the phone, the music plays via Bluetooth from the car’s speakers. Could this be the faulty cable/wire or is it something else?
