Notes on macOS not showing content

In MacOS Sequoia ‏15.0.1 ‏(24A348‏) suddenly the Notes app is showing folder list and notes list, but not showing the notes themselves. Double clicking a note will open it in a seperate window. Also, the app acts fuunny when resizing the window. Any idea how to fix it?

Added a screenshot (it's in Hebrew)

Try this:

Choose Finder > Go > Go to Folder..., paste the following line, and press the Return key (*):

~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Preferences/

There should be "com.apple.Notes.plist" -- move it to the Desktop. Reboot the Mac and open Notes. If it then works, trash that old "com.apple.Notes.plist" from the Desktop.

Some setups might have the file in the following folder so you might try that:

~/Library/Preferences/

(*) Another way to find that preference file is to Option-click Finder > Go > click Library. Then open Containers. There are three (sic!) Notes folders, open the topmost (make sure you are sorting as List A to Z) and open Data > Library > Preferences.

Hello. Have you found the answer? I still can't fix it, although I've tried all the options suggested below.

In the Preferences folder, I have only two files: 1) com.apple.security.plist 2) com.apple.security_common.plist

I tried transferring them one at a time and together to the desktop, then restarting the computer, but the problem does not go away.

Tell me please, maybe there are some other options on how to fix this or why it doesn’t work for me?

It seems you are looking at the wrong Library folder that is at:

/Library <- that is System library for all users

...you should look at:

~/Library <- that is your personal Library that is hidden by default so read my previous reply where you can find it.
