After the upgrade, my calendar is too cluttered to use. I can't find events because reminders, even daily reminders, are clogging my display.
How do I stop showing reminders on my calendar?
I need this on all of my devices, ios, ipados, watchos, and mac.
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.0
On the Mac, display the calendar sidebar and turn off "Scheduled Reminders".
On iPhone and iPad, in Calendar, tap Calendars (bottom, center) and turn off "Schedule Reminders" and "Show Completed Reminders".
Nothing to do for the Apple Watch as it will follow the iPhone settings.

Every time Mac does an upgrade, more junk like this shows up by default. Shouldn't they just offer an option to add these kinds of things. It's life control!
I agree this was a horrible default. I missed a couple appointments/double booked before finding this and turning it off.
it also wasn’t that easy to turn off as there was a clear toggle at the bottom of calendars to turn off completed reminders or declined events, but the actual reminders were hidden under an other menu that had to be expanded
Ah do you remember where to find the way of turning them off? I can’t find it - if I go to Calendars it only offers to let me turn off completed reminders…
Thanks for the instructions. I too did not want to see my reminders (AKA my "to do" list) on my calendar.

That's odd. It doesn't happen on my end when I create a new calendar. I'm using iOS 18.2 if it makes any difference.

Hi buzzoff13, I did a test on my Mac (macOS Sequoia 15.2) and I'm not seeing the issue either. Try to update macOS or reboot your Mac.
Ive got a really old version on my phone and the calendar is ok. I have to update because too many problems but there's no room on the phone calendar anyway.
When I saw my Mac calendar my brain exploded. I don't want. my phone on my computer. I'm really sick of apple but now good alternatives.

Thanks, 6x6. I have rebooted but 15.2 is available and I will probably due the upgrade sometime next week if I can get my act together :)
Agreed. At least they should show you how to turn them off. Most popular response didn't work for me.
