Why does my iPhone still show VPN on when it's deleted?

Even though I deleted the VPN on my new iPhone, it still showed VPN turned on in the control center.

and when I clicked on it it didn't change. After reinstalling and deleting VPN ,

VPN issue resolved in control center. Is this a problem with iOS 18?

Can my information be stolen if I forget my VPN is on?

VPN has disappeared from my iPhone settings We have some issues with VPN settings disappearing from the menu, it worked fine the day before and next day the VPN is gone and a reboot of the computer does not solve the issue. In settings under the “battery” area I used to have a VPN that I could toggle the switch back-and-forth to be on. When I went to go use it yesterday it wasn’t there. Under General/VPN icon it says VPN is not connected. I have never added a VPN app to my phone. It’s always been there and on my husband’s. I checked his phone and it’s still where it’s supposed to be but it’s not on my phone. I’d rather not reset my settings. Is there any other way I can get it back? I do have the latest software downloaded. Thank you. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

I have this issue as well. This must be a bug. It’s the new OS. I had to restart the phone the last time this happened, a week ago, or so.
