how to make homepod remember speech volume level

I have a HomePod which is great, however when Siri answers me it’s always quite low volume so it’s hard to hear from the other side of the room. I tell Siri to speak to me at loudest volume, which it does, however it never seems to remember this and less than a day later the Siri volume has gone right back down again. How do I get it to remember max volume setting?

How to change Siri volume and speaking rate - Apple Support

Change Siri's volume on your HomePod

You can ask Siri to speak louder, quieter, or at a specific volume. Say "Hey Siri," then say something like:

  • "Speak louder."
  • "Always speak quieter."
  • "Set your volume to sixty percent."

HomePod automatically adjusts Siri's response volume based on the level of noise in the room, your distance from HomePod, and how loudly you're speaking to Siri. You can turn automatic volume on or off by saying, "Hey Siri, turn on automatic Siri volume," or "Hey Siri, turn off automatic Siri volume."

No one can fix this? Why is apple so expensive for poor products?

Think about leaving the snark behind next time you have a question. Raising the “overpriced and poor quality” flag doesn’t get a salute and often gets one ignored going forward. If you think the HomePod is overpriced and of poor quality then there are numerous other products out there that you might like better.
