iPod mini playing music. iPhone does not have music app installed

so my cat touched the iPod mini and it turned on

however it was playing music from the Apple Music app. My iPhone does not have this installed. Not any of my other devices (iPad mini and laptop turned off). But in the control center of my iPhone i can see the music app playing to the iPod. And when I touch it to pause , it asks if I want to restore my music app. How does this happen??

everything is updated to latest software.
