AirDrop misbehaving

So, recently and suddenly, Air Drop on my iMac does not 'see' any of my other devices. In order to send a file from my iMac to my iPad, I had to Airdrop it from my iMac to my iPhone, and then from my iPhone to my iPad. I know all about having the proper checkmarks...'Everybody', etc. Also, I can't seem to keep 'Everyone' checked, it defaults to Contacts only. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
