Siri not responding on iPhone 16 Pro Max

This worked for me. Thanks. Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Turn off > Reboot the phone.

Now turned back on and Siri still works. So weird!

I figured it out.

Go to Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Talk to Siri

I went settings > Siri > Siri and dictation history > delete dictation history (deleted) and now it works properly

Thank you this suggestion. I toggled off the content & privacy restrictions in settings under screen time and now it works perfectly, as it should without pressing the button.

In my case it was enough to enable the Content & Privacy Restrictions in the Screen Time settings page, reboot the iPhone and "Hey Siri" is working again. I then disabled the Content & Privacy Restrictions and it's still working.

I was having this exact same problem and Ive just figured mine out. I hope this helps.

On your home page, swipe down to search (as if you're finding an app) type siri.

It should pop up as in the setting. Once youre in, just below Language is Talk to Siri. Tap it and pick “siri” or “hey siri”.

Updated to iOS 18.0.1 and she’s back up and running smooth as butter

I had all the same problems as everyone else and I tried one more thing remove Siri dictation history so I tried that and all of a sudden my Siri started working properly so try that and see if it works for you. I don’t know how long it’ll last before it happens again, but it just worked again and it did didn’t have to reset my phone try it.

This issue started well before 18.2 and Apple Intellignce. Mine did not have the AI turned on and it was doing it and nothing worked. Only returning my phone and getting a replacement solved the problem. I haven't had issues since, through 8.1 and 8.2 updates.

change the Siri language to “English (United Kingdom)” and enable Hey Siri again, it should work afterwards

I have a 16 pro and was having the same issue. I turned my phone off and then restarted it and now Siri responds to my voice.

I was having the same issue. Got in the phone with Apple support. I had to delete an old work VPN profile that was set up on my phone. It’s been working ever since without an issue.

Yes. Apple support helped me. I had an old VPN profile set up. Once removed Siri worked like normal.

This seemed to fix the issue for me but I also turned off Talk to Siri then restarted phone. Then turned it back on.
