Hi @leefromirving
It may be premature to give up already.
Leviton might actually be the more helpful support resource for your troubleshooting needs, but according to their website Apple Homepod should be a supported interface. Are these the instructions you’re following: How Do I Add a Decora Smart Matter Device to the Apple Home App? Also, are you installing a brand new device? If not, you might find this to be helpful.
Contact details for Leviton support can be found by scrolling to the bottom of one of those links.
Hope that helps!
Those are the instructions are referred to. I’ve done them over and over and over again and every order.
I’ve been doing this for about 15 years. I’ve got an Insteon install here with a Hoobs local and four or five bridges. I’ve got about 80 devices. I have two HomePods and I’m on the early adopter program for everything in the world and everything runs the latest firmware software.
I was pretty excited about Matter, but no more it just made me madder.
Ah, ok - that’s helpful context…at least in terms of your familiarity and experience. That second link gave me the impression that the transition is finicky. :/
I still think you should contact Leviton (imho). While I do genuinely hope they’ll be able to resolve whatever the hangup is, I also think they should hear your negative feedback on the the issues you’ve encountered with their rollout. If nothing else, that might lead to a more robust process down the line (which would at least benefit future endusers).

fwiw, this made me laugh (:
Good luck.
I guess it won't hurt but it's all about time, like the MS's already thinks automation is a train wreck, so flaky. It's just a hobby at home but I also manage a small nLight Eclypse installation at work(not my job but I picked up the rock).
The professional system, while having very arcane UI's they work and don't do unexpected things. Insteon is starting to look a lot better after this. The architecture is much like nLight every device can run its automation and store and forward other devices programming coupled with multiple communication paths these 10-12 year old dimmers and switches are hardened. The only rare failures are the diodes in the actual switch/dimmers. I was looking for a replacement but new isn't necessarily better.
Hey do you know how to program a scene to turn off. I can push the scene tab to have it go off but no way to program that.
My son on law tried to do automate with a search company's devices. That is the worst.
Just to update I got all the way to engineering at Leviton. They don’t know either.
