“There is an update to Sonoma that I haven't installed -- Sonoma 14.7. I had not mentioned this. How do you think I should proceed? Would installing this update to Sonoma 14.7 fix my problem? I don't want to update to Sequoia yet. I should mention also that I use Xcode. Using Xcode had made a difference in the past when I update macOS.”

macOS 15.7 Fixing this:
No. Nothing is mentioned of Music app bug fixes: About the Security Content of macOS Sonoma 14.7 - Apple Support.
So, Back Up, Proceeding with the Upgrade:
As I mentioned in my previous reply: Back up prior to upgrading. As for me, I always wait a couple of weeks prior to installing the update —but I always back up prior to a macOS install or just any olde software install. That way, I can downgrade to it(by restoring from the backup I just created). Having used Macs for so many years and taken part in these forums for so long, I’ve had to perform this back up and restoration process lots of times on my own part, and have read lots of reports or the results of doing so.
For Note:
As for upgrading iOS and iPadOS, downgrading is just not an option. So, upgrading is the best route to take. But, only update when you have a strong and reliable connection; elsewise, it may result in a boot loop(which is a result of the update stalling while in the process of the install).
