I downloaded ios18 and now have no edit button on my photos in the gallery when I touch a photo. How do I get it back so I can use third party editing apps?

In iOS 18 Photos, the edit button is the right icon in the cluster of three in the middle at the bottom, below the row of thumbnails. The icon looks like three sliders (three horizontal lines with a circle on each). Do you not see that icon?

They are there. It just looks different. Once you go back in a few times you start noticing
press the three lines at bottom and it comes up.The ones with little circles on them.
Why not call the edit function “Edit”? I would like to sort my pictures myself. How to get rid of the albums Recent, People, Pinned connection, Trips?
Move photos to google.
