Unable to open my Apple Calendar shows "The server responded with an error" error

When I try to open my Apple calendar, I get an error message: "The server responded with an error." The option buttons are: Revert to Server, Try Again, and Ignore. None of them work! The same error box with the same 3 options immediately pops up.

This may have started when the dinner reservation I was making used Google and it tried to add the event to my calendar. Not sure about this.

My calendar still works fine on my iPad & iPhone.

Suggestions please!
