Found this on another thread How to Stop Battery Draining on iPhone After a Recent IOS Update and it's been a game changer, battery which was reducing 20 to 30% in 1 hour of basic usage now reduces only 15%. I will update you on which adjustment helped alot as I am currently testing on it as I don't want to disable some features so will update soon here.

Yes me too facing the same issue. The battery is draining out like anything. Battery which used to come for two days on low power mode is not even coming for 24hrs even. Am very much disappointed as i have bought my phone just a year back and facing this issue so soon because of this update. Apple which stands out for its features and technical capabilities is disappointing customers to loose the trust on the brand. :(

My iphone 13 pro max battery draining drastically after updating to iOS 18. My Battery Health reduced to 77% just in a week of time from 84%. Unbelievable. Apple made this update to drain the batteries so that people choose to new phone to increase the sales or what????

This has been common issue on all iphones i have used since more than 10 years.

really disappointing Apple.

I erased the phone (15 pro max) and started over. Nowhere near as warm when charging. Two hours since last charge, at 99%. I'll keep watching it but so far, so good. The four hour mark will be the next test as it was dropping to 76%. I deleted a TON of apps and turned off a lot of background processes. Granted, this should not have to be done and hope Apple finds a solution vs us trying to get janky with it.

Me facing same issue after updating to iOS 18 and i am waiting until iOS 18.0.1 but still facing same issue. So i manage to send my iPhone 14 Pro Max to Apple center to change new battery because first i think it was my phone battery issue (85% Battery Health). But then i'll decided to trade in my 14 Pro Max to brand new iPhone 16 Pro Max and guess what, i felt same battery performance on my new 16 Pro Max same as my previous 14 Pro Max with 85% Battery Health. So for sure 100% this battery drain issue come from iOS 18 update not from device itself.

My wife had zero problems when her 13 mini ran on 17.6, 17.7 then on 18.0.1. After updating to 18.1 the battery life halved or so.

I restored her iphone to 17.7, zero battery problem then, later to 18.0.1, zero battery problem again.

I am happy that not IOS 18 as a whole is a problem, because she did not make a dedicated backup when 17.7 ran, so I was unable to fully restore her phone settings with 17.7.

I came from ios17.3.1 with no issues on my iphone 14pro. I bought an apple watch ultra 2 and was forced to update to ios18.1 to get it to work. Now after the update my iphone battery dies in less than a day without doing much on it. It's a shame that apple wants to force you to upgrade to a new device like this. I want the option to downgrade. If this isn't fixed I will be making the switch to android

Before update to iOS 18, iPhone 15 Pro used to last for a day and more though I use it to run some app test and stuff for 5+ hrs and phone handles it really well but Now I need to keep charging for every 2 hrs and when i plug it for charge it stops charging at 80 % every time and it say's "Charing stopped because of overheating"

Haven't seen such bad software update from iOS

Other issue list:

  1. When you install new app, System needs a restart.
  2. When we install app which needs to Trust certificate, system needs a restart.
  3. While using app, Screen goes black and spinner widget appears most of the times.
  4. Keyboard freezes.
